Theory
Urban planning theory is a class I didn't fully appreciate until this year. Two of our three division heads are polar opposites on the planning process. One believes that no opinion is valid above another, that public opinions are necessary before moving forward. The other believes that the public should be informed once a process is moving forward, that staff is educated to work on these issues and only involve the public when necessary. It's fascinating to watch as they clash and fireworks come forward.

Lake Effected
I was born and raised near Lake Michigan. My heart and soul are tied to the water. I was never a sailor, a fisherman, or a swimmer, yet I always return to the water.
